Kicks, Confidence, and Conversations: Lucy’s Soccer Camp Debut

This week, Lucy tried something brand new: **soccer camp!**⚽️☀️

One of the best parts of parenting is watching our kids bravely try new things just to see what might spark. We’ve done gymnastics, dance, karate, tennis, and swimming—and while not every activity sticks, the courage to keep trying is the spark that matters most.

But something about soccer… clicked. She LOVED it.

The drills, the jerseys, the running, the shin guards, the turf—it was all her jam. And yes, even the chatting in line instead of paying attention to the coach. (That’s our girl.😂)

At one point, the coach was showing the kids a skill drill and Lucy—without missing a beat—turned to the child next to her and struck up a lively conversation about losing her two front teeth. Because of course she did. Priorities, right? 😄

Trying new things isn’t just about finding talents. It’s about building confidence, making connections, and sometimes… talking about teeth instead of technique. And that’s okay.

We’ll see where soccer goes, but for now, I’m just soaking up this season of muddy socks, giant smiles, and watching my girl grow—on the field, and far beyond it.
