Shining into Fourth Grade ✨

Today we’re celebrating a big milestone—Lucy has officially finished third grade academically and is beginning fourth grade! 📚💡

Her love of learning, her determination, and her curiosity have carried her here, and I couldn’t be more proud. Watching her snuggle into her books, ask thoughtful questions, and tackle challenges with a smile has been such a gift.

I know that academics are just one piece of a much bigger picture. Some kids shine brightest on the soccer field, some on the stage, some with a paintbrush in hand, or while riding their bike faster than the wind. Each accomplishment—big or small—is worth celebrating. That’s why I believe we should never dim our children’s light out of fear that it might make someone else uncomfortable. Instead, let’s cheer for all the beautiful ways kids grow and shine. 🌟

And one of my favorite things about Holland Christian’s Homeschool Connection program is that Lucy still gets to be a first grader, too. She’s learning side by side with her peers, growing in kindness, patience, and teamwork—life lessons that are just as important as anything in her books.

Lucy, you are a bright light, and I can’t wait to see all the places your love of learning will take you. 💕

Lucy picked these flowers for one of her teachers at school.
