Thanksgiving has a way of slowing us down.
The world quiets just a little, the table fills up, and suddenly—if we let it—our hearts open wide to see everything we’ve been given.
This year, as I look around at my family, the joy in my children’s eyes, and the warmth of our home, I’m reminded that the greatest blessings in life cannot be wrapped, purchased, or planned. They are given—by a God who loves us more deeply than we can imagine.

Today I’m thankful for grace that meets us every morning.
For children who stretch us and soften us in the best ways.
For a husband who shows up, grows with me, and leads our home toward God.
For the memories behind us, the miracles holding us, and the moments in front of us.
For laughter…I’m so thankful for laughter.

And I’m especially thankful for the quiet peace God places in our hearts when we ask Him to be the center of our families. That peace is a gift no holiday chaos can steal.
So wherever you are today—hosting, traveling, or sneaking bites in the kitchen—I hope you feel wrapped in warmth, joy, and the steady reminder that you are loved, you are blessed, and you are held.
A Thanksgiving Blessing for Your Home

Fun Thanksgiving Traditions & Activities to Make the Day Meaningful
If you want to sprinkle a few intentional moments into your celebration, here are some sweet and simple ideas:
The “Gratitude Jar”
Pass slips of paper around and have everyone write something they’re thankful for—big or small. Read them out loud during dessert.
“Then & Now” Photo Tradition
Take the same picture every year in the same spot. The kids grow, the adults change, the dogs get fluffier… and the memories build.
Thankful Tablecloth
Buy a plain fabric tablecloth and fabric markers. Every year, have everyone sign their name and a blessing from the year. Watch it fill up over the seasons of life.
The After-Dinner Walk (my personal favorite)
A family walk—kids, dogs, cousins, whoever wants to join. It gives everyone a break, helps settle the feast, and often sparks the sweetest conversations.
Serve Someone Unexpected
A handwritten note. A plate of food delivered. A kind message. A prayer for someone who needs it. Gratitude grows when we give it away.
From Our Home to Yours
Happy Thanksgiving, friends.
Thank you for being a part of this Raising Light community—where we choose purpose, presence, and peace in a world that so often forgets those things.
I pray today brings you warmth, connection, and a renewed awareness of the blessings God has stitched into your story.
May your hearts be full, your home be peaceful, and your family be grounded in love today and always.
With gratitude and joy,
Lindsey
